Wine review: A charming new Malbec from southern France, just outside of Cahors. Soft and fruit forward in style without any rough edges at all. There is a very pretty floral element to this wine along with flavors of bright red berry fruit. The racy acidity provides a cleansing finish on the palate.

My review: This wine is just fine to be used as a simple red table wine to accompany dinner. Don't expect to reach great depth of flavor or have any out-of-body experiences, but if you desire a cheap red for a nice dinner with guests that don't have a real understanding of wine, this will do the trick! For a Malbec, this was rather light-bodied with soft flavors of red cherry. Clean finish, yes, but more due to the lack of depth.
