Wine review: Our Black Mountain Fat Cat Cabernet Sauvignon is exemplified by a wide range of flavor profiles. Black cherry, plum, anise, and vanilla emerge as each sip stimulates the senses. The balance of tannins and acid contributes to the fullness of the wine as it lingers on the palate.
My review: Good wine does not necessitate a high price point, and this wine is certainly a great example. Aromas of plum, juicy black cherries, and dark fruits meet the nose, preparing for the classic Cabernet Sauvignon profile on the palate. Raspberry, plum, and a hint of vanilla satisfies the palate with the wine's pleasant mouth feel. Slightly tannic, the wine opens well over a shorter period of time, relieving its initial acidity.
